Former MV softball player headed to D-I school

MARANA, A former Mountain View softball pitcher will continue her collegiate career at the D-I level. Sarah Gaalswijk will play for Central Connecticut State next season.

MARANA, Both the Marana and Mountain View football teams had special visitors with NFL ties to their spring football practices last week.

Tiger girls crack the top-10 at state

MARANA, The 2013 high school sports season came to an end for Marana and Mountain View over the weekend at the Division I State Track and Field Championships.
Although all four teams sent athletes to the event, only the Marana girls and the Mountain View boys scored points to place within the overall team rankings.

MARANA, The Arizona state Division I Track and Field Championships got underway on Wednesday at Mesa Community College. Both Marana and Mountain View had several athletes competing on the first of the two day event.

Mountain Lion Wrestling Team makes a difference in the community

The Mountain View Wrestling Team collaborated with the Tucson Leones de la Noche
Lion's Club for a special literacy project in the community on April 26. The
wrestlers read their favorite children's books to kindergarten students at Ironwood Elementary School to promote literacy. The Lion's Club distributed free books to all children in Mrs. Perrin's kindergarten class.
