1:16 p.m. 6900 block of N. Thornydale Rd. Officer responded to the report of a stolen bicycle. The victim left his bike unlocked while he went to work. MARANA -- Shortly after noon, Northwest Fire District paramedics were called to the McDonalds located at 8349 N. Cortaro, near Cortaro and I-10 after receiving a 9-1-1 call about an ill employee. MARANA -- Granite Construction is closing Avra Valley Road across the Brawley Wash Bridge for bridge replacement beginning Monday. Use Silverbell Road as a detour between Trico Road and Sanders Road.
The intersections of Sanders and Sandario roads with Avra Valley Road will undergo shoulder work during the same time as the bridge work to install right turn lanes.
